Dr Thet Wai


Thet graduated from the University of Medicine in Yangon.

Thet travelled to Australia in 2006 and commenced work at RPH, he then moved to Exmouth for 1 year working at Exmouth hospital and visiting Carnarvon hospital.

Dr Wai settled in Geraldton with his family commencing work at Geraldton regional hospital predominantly in Accident and Emergency for 3 years entering into private practice in 2011 with the Remote vocational training scheme.

Dr Wai has been with Batavia health since 2011. Firstly, working at Dongara Medical Centre, and then working at Batavia Health in 2013.

Personal Interests:

Thet was attracted to the lifestyle in Geraldton and enjoys spending time with his 3 year old son and his wife who is also a GP at Batavia Health (a practice he finds has a very family orientated ethos.) He enjoys the good life of being a Geraldtonian, becoming an Australia citizen in 2016.
